Reviews for Kedai Kopi Sun Yuan Loong
Review highlights
Based on 1,208 reviewsKedai Kopi Sun Yuan Loong is recognized as a bustling, authentic Ipoh kopitiam offering a wide variety of traditional Chinese-Malaysian dishes. Commonly praised for its generous portions and local flavors, signature items such as Chee Cheong Fun, glutinous rice paired with curry chicken, and kaya butter toast stand out as favorites among patrons. While the food generally receives positive remarks for its authenticity and taste, the coffee offerings tend to elicit mixed feedback, often described as less robust than expected. The kopitiam’s busy atmosphere and limited seating can pose challenges, especially during peak hours, but its genuine local charm and culinary variety continue to attract both locals and visitors seeking an authentic dining experience.
I was told that this was one of best coffee place in ipoh so I really looked forward to this visit. Went at 730am on a Friday and you can see it’s filled with locals, uncles and aunties. Ordered the coffee at 745am in the morning and was disappointed how weak the drink tasted like. The food we ordered was okay. The Chee Cheong fun and the lady preparing it was very nice.
A must visit hidden gem that only locals knows. Secretly serving the best authentic flavours and with a local price. The gluten rice and cheong fun is definitely thumbs up Kopi might not on the top notch but the food here are so good. Generous portions, all meals prepared by locals auntie who are so confident with their recipes. Local authentic Kopi tiam
Authentic ipoh kopitiam experience Delicious Ipoh Chee Cheong Fun. The OG Ipoh white coffee and Kaya butter toast The yellow glutinous rice paired with curry chicken and Kaya glutinous rice are both yummy too. Plenty of food stalls to choose from.
Quite a lot of food selections, but extremely crowded with small tables and tight seating in the dining area, quite challenging to bring baby stroller to dine in. KSHF was not bad, horhee was okay, and the curry mee was average. The kopi ice was quite sweet, but the flavor was fine. Their 葡挞 (egg tart) was amazing and crispy — I actually prefer this type over the classic egg tart. The kaya puff and chicken floss bean bun were just okay.
A very bustling popular kopitiam which serves good beverage. Quite difficult to find a seat esp in the mornings. My usual go to for the sengkuang ccf. Prawn noodles, curry noodles & kshf is found here. They also sell prepacked nyonya kueh.
